Jadon Sancho did not have the start to life at Manchester United that he would have envisioned while coming in. The English international had established himself as a superstar at Borussia Dortmund but failed to make much of an impact at Old Trafford following one of the biggest transfer moves in Premier League history in the summer. He would soon find himself sitting on the bench as well.

Things have certainly improved for Sancho over the past several months. He looks significantly better and more settled now, and is a key member of the Manchester United first-team.

One has to feel that there is still a lot more to come from the youngster but his recent performances are cause for optimism to say the least.

Sancho seems to be gaining more confidence in himself and the team by the day as well, and has not ruled out their chances of potentially winning the Champions League this season. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, he said:

"“I feel like we have a strong enough squad to win the Champions League, I really believe that. But we all have to work for each other and for us to even get close to the final we have to go game-by-game. It’s going to be a tough challenge, but I feel like with the players we have and the experience we have then it’s definitely doable. And for sure I will do my best.”"

Can Manchester United win the Champions League this season?

The Champions League is arguably the most difficult competition to win in world football. And it is Manchester United’s only remaining hope of winning silverware this season. The club are already out of the League Cup and the FA Cup, and are in a tight race to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

But even though they might not be in a great position right now, one should not rule out their chances of winning the Champions League.

The club can even look towards Chelsea’s win last season. The Blues had shown Frank Lampard the exit door in the middle of the campaign and replaced him with Thomas Tuchel in the managerial hot seat. They were nowhere near competing for the Premier League title but did beat Manchester City to win the Champions League.
