Manchester United player will leave the club next summer
It looks like next summer could be one of change for Manchester United. The club did not do nearly as well as one would have expected of them this season and as a result, they find themselves potentially heading towards their fifth straight trophyless campaign. That is not the position that the Red Devils would have expected themselves to be in when they signed Jadon Sancho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton in the summer.
But now, the focus should be on how the club can take a step forward next season and hopefully return to trophy-winning ways. In that regard, Manchester United are expected to appoint a permanent manager and make additions to the squad.
On the other hand, some players could be on their way out of the club as well. One such player is Dean Henderson, who has struggled for playing time this season.
As reported by This is Futbol, while speaking on The Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano said regarding the situation surrounding Henderson:
"“Dean Henderson will leave the club in the summer. Maybe on loan, but to have some opportunities to play.”"
Henderson looks set to leave Manchester United in the summer
In the second half of last season, it had looked like Henderson was well on his way to becoming the regular first-team goalkeeper for Manchester United.
David de Gea had struggled for the past few seasons and as a result, Henderson had moved ahead of him in the pecking order in the second half of last season, putting in some solid performances between the posts.
De Gea is very much back to his best this season though and is playing like one of the best goalkeepers in the world once again. As a result, he is Manchester United’s number one once again. On the other hand, Henderson has barely played this season and it looks like he is set to leave soon in search of regular playing time.
