One of the biggest debates surrounding Manchester United for a while has been the future of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman’s current contract with the club runs out at the end of this season and he has not agreed to an extension yet. As a result, it is very possible that he could end up walking out as a free agent next summer. It remains to be seen how things unfold over the coming weeks and months.
Manchester United brought back Pogba to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer of 2016, in a then world record transfer deal. His time at the club has been up and down since then though, and he has never quite reached his full potential.
Now, the French World Cup winner has shown glimpses of brilliance in a Manchester United shirt on several occasions. But there has been no consistency to his performances. He remains a key member of this squad though and if he was to leave, the club would surely need to bring in a replacement.
And as reported by ESPN, Ralf Rangnick has already suggested RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku as a possible replacement for Pogba.

Pogba’s future at Manchester United is not settled yet and there have been suggestions that he could still end up extending his stay at the club.
But, the Red Devils must be prepared for all kinds of situations and it must be said that someone like Nkunku would be a terrific addition to the club.
He has been absolutely brilliant for RB Leipzig this season, showcasing his qualities in the Bundesliga as well as in the Champions League. But if he was to leave any time soon, a number of clubs would be expected to try to sign him.
