Manchester United look set to appoint a long-term manager in the summer when Ralf Rangnick’s interim run in the Old Trafford hot seat comes to an end. That is pretty much an open secret at this point of time. But there are a lot of questions about who that man will be, with there not appearing to be a clear favourite till now, as a number of names continue to be linked with the Red Devils.
The two managers who have been most heavily linked with Manchester United are Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag.
It is not hard to see why the club would be interested in either. Manchester United have been rumoured with an interest in Pochettino since when he was at Tottenham Hotspur. On the other hand, Ten Hag has done an incredible job at Ajax.
Manchester United linked with Inter Milan manager
Now, there is no doubt about the fact that Inzaghi is a very good manager. He had a wonderful time at Lazio and has done a great job at Inter Milan since taking charge in the summer, as they are competing for the Serie A title once again despite losing key players.
But there are a lot of comparisons between Inzaghi and his predecessor at Inter Milan, Antonio Conte. Both are known for their tactically fluid systems and playing three at the back.
Manchester United did have the chance to bring in Conte himself earlier on this season but did not end up doing so. Thus, it is surprising that they are being linked with a move for Inzaghi just a few months later.
