Manchester United have struggled in most aspects this season and unless they somehow end up winning the Champions League, it looks like they are headed for their fifth straight trophyless campaign. That is not where the Red Devils would want to be. As a result, the club are expected to bring in a new permanent manager in the summer as well as a number of new signings.

On the other hand, Liverpool are enjoying a solid campaign and are still competing for all four titles. That is the level that Manchester United need to be targeting to get back to.

And it looks like they have set their eyes on Liverpool target, Fabio Carvalho. The teenager is enjoying a brilliant campaign at Fulham right now and Jurgen Klopp’s side came very close to sealing a move for him in January, but failed to beat the transfer deadline.

As reported by Daily Star, according to sources inside Old Trafford, Manchester United are planning to make a move for Carvalho this summer and stop him from joining Liverpool.

Manchester United are planning a transfer move for the Fulham wonderkid

Carvalho is one of the most highly-rated teenagers in the world right now. The 19-year-old is enjoying a great season in the Championship with Fulham, who appear to be headed for promotion back to the Premier League unless things go south from here on.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Carvalho has scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 23 appearances for Fulham this season. His numbers at the youth level were brilliant as well.

Thus, it is not hard to see why there might be significant interest in the youngster’s signature. And while Liverpool have to be considered as favourites right now, after how close they got to signing him in January, Manchester United appear to be in the race as well.
