Once again, Manchester United probably made it tougher for themselves than it should have been. They went into the break with a 2-0 lead against Leeds United, thanks to goals from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes. But then, they allowed the hosts to equalise, as they have so many times recently. Fortunately for the Red Devils, they still had a couple of goals in the bag, with Fred and Anthony Elanga scoring, as the game finished 4-2 in favour of Ralf Rangnick’s side.

It goes without saying that there is a lot to unpack here regarding the performance on both ends of the pitch. Going forward, we have seen Manchester United struggle in recent times. But Leeds United are exactly the kind of team that one would expect them to thrive against and they did, scoring four times.

One man who was particularly impressive in the final third of the pitch was Jadon Sancho, assisting twice.

And Gary Neville believes that the English international is getting better and now looking more comfortable in the Manchester United shirt. As reported by Sky Sports, the club legend said:

"“I have to give Sancho man of the match for his two assists.“He is definitely getting better, and he looks much more comfortable in this Manchester United shirt.”"

Sancho is starting to impress for Manchester United

When Sancho arrived in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in one of the biggest transfer moves in the history of Manchester United, it is safe to say that expectations were very high.

Unfortunately, he did not enjoy a great start to life at Old Trafford though and would struggle to nail down his spot in the starting XI.

But despite that, most fans had faith that he would eventually find his feet and come good, and that is what we are starting to see now.

Not only has Sancho improved in recent months when it comes to goals and assists, but his performances have improved considerably as well. And slowly but surely, he is starting to look like the Borussia Dortmund version of himself.
