Manchester United handed Franck Kessie transfer boost
Manchester United were expected to bring in a midfielder last summer but did not end up doing so. And then, they decided against making a move this January as well. Sooner or later, they will need to make an addition in the middle of the park though. The strategy seems to be pretty clear, the club will make more signings when they appoint a permanent manager at the end of the campaign.
Manchester United have been linked with several midfielders in recent times. Names like Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni, Kalvin Phillips, Ruben Neves, Boubacar Kamara and several others have been brought up consistently.
Another player who the club are rumoured to have an interest in is Franck Kessie. He has been absolutely brilliant at AC Milan in recent years but his current deal with the Italian giants runs out in the summer.
And as reported by Grand Hotel Calciomercato, Kessie and AC Milan have not been able to agree a contract extension till now, despite talks being on for a while.
Manchester United have been handed Kessie transfer boost
With the season slowly ticking away, it feels like there is a good possibility that Kessie might end up departing AC Millan as a free agent in the near future. It has not been an uncommon event in recent times though. Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu both departed on free transfers last summer.
Someone like Kessie would be a terrific addition to this Manchester United squad. He has been one of the best midfielders in Serie A for a while now and at 25 years of age, might be ready for a different challenge.
Someone like Kessie has all the attributes to be a success in the Premier League and Manchester United must definitely keep their eyes on the situation. He has also been linked with clubs like Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain in recent times.
