Harry Kane is someone who has been linked with Manchester United heavily in the past. There were a lot of rumours surrounding a potential Old Trafford move last summer but ultimately, the England captain remained at Tottenham Hotspur. It is no secret though that he would be interested in joining a club where he can compete for trophies on a consistent basis.

Unless they are able to win the FA Cup, it does not look like Tottenham Hotspur are headed for any silverware this season. And if it turns out to be another trophyless campaign for them, it is very possible that Kane could try to leave next summer as well.

On the other hand, this could be a summer of change for Manchester United as well, with a new manager expected to be appointed. And interestingly, Mauricio Pochettino is one of the favourites to end up in the Old Trafford hot seat.

Interestingly, that is where Manchester United might have an advantage. As reported by The Telegraph (via Mirror), Kane is viewed as a potential leader and sources close to the England captain claim he would be keen to work with Pochettino again.

Manchester United handed massive Kane transfer boost

Kane would be a tremendous addition for Manchester United. He is one of the best goalscorers in the history of the Premier League and at 28 years of age, is in the middle of his prime as a footballer.

But then, it goes without saying that signing him from Tottenham Hotspur would be extremely difficult.

On one hand, Manchester City are believed to be interested in signing Kane, with Pep Guardiola’s side lacking a striker right now. On the other hand, over the past decade or so, Tottenham Hotspur have not been known for letting their best players join other Premier League teams.
