Manchester United vs Leeds United was once upon a time one of the premier games in English football. The game might not have that glamour today but it remains just as important to both sets of fans. And it will be very important to both teams, with respect to their 2021/22 Premier League campaign as well, when the two meet at Elland Road this weekend.

They find themselves in very different positions right now. Manchester United are in a tight race with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolves, to finish in the top four this season.

On the other hand, Leeds United are on the opposite end of the table and could very well end up getting caught up in a relegation battle if they are not careful.

The reverse fixture had ended 5-1 in favour of Manchester United earlier on this season and that will surely be on the minds of the Leeds United players as well.

Here are three Manchester United stars who could shine against Leeds United, when the two sides meet at Elland Road this weekend:

The usual suspect, Ronaldo could end up having a great time against Leeds United. Marcelo Bielsa’s all-action side tend to leave spaces open at the back.

In fact, they have conceded 46 goals in 23 Premier League games so far this season. Only Norwich City have conceded more and they have played an extra game.

As a result, it is safe to say that this is the type of match where Ronaldo could thrive. And after the Portuguese superstar has had a dry run in front of goal, only ending in the last game against Brighton & Hove Albion, this could be a great opportunity for him to get some of his rhythm and confidence back.
