Manchester United have been linked with a number of players in recent times as it looks like the squad is set for an overhaul in the upcoming summer transfer window. Interestingly, it is the forward department, which was considered as their biggest strength coming into the campaign, which might undergo the biggest change, with the futures of Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial and Cristiano Ronaldo up in the air.

One player that Manchester United have been linked with recently is RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, who has been in spectacular form this season.

Of course, there is the connection with Ralf Rangnick, who is currently Manchester United’s interim manager and would be expected to take on a consultancy role after the end of the season.

The kind of performances that the RB Leipzig attacking midfielder has put in this season has appeared to catch the eye of the Red Devils. And as reported by Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), Nkunku’s transfer value is set at €55 million.

Nkunku has been absolutely spectacular for RB Leipzig this season. And signing him would be considered as a major coup for any club at this point of time.

He has been brilliant in the Bundesliga but surprisingly, has appeared to take his game up a gear when he has played in the Champions League. He scored a hattrick against Manchester City earlier in the season and also found the back of the net against Paris Saint-Germain. He has goals to his name against the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the ongoing campaign as well.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United do end up making a move for Nkunku in the upcoming summer transfer window. A lot could end up depending on who the club’s next manager is.
