Cristiano Ronaldo completed one of the most stunning transfers in football history this summer when he returned to Manchester United, over a decade after leaving the club. It is safe to say that there was a lot of excitement surrounding the move and many believed that it transformed the Red Devils into Premier League title contenders once again. It has not worked out so well though.

Individually, Ronaldo has been fine although he has not been anywhere near his best. On the other hand, Manchester United have appeared to have taken a step back since his arrival and are in the middle of a top four race right now.

On top of that, Ronaldo is going through one of his driest spells in front of goal at the moment. And if the club are unable to qualify for next season’s Champions League, it is very possible that he could look to leave.

And it looks like there won’t be any lack of interest in his signature. As reported by The Sun, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain and AS Roma have expressed an interest in Ronaldo.

Bayern Munich, PSG and AS Roma interested in signing Ronaldo from Manchester United

It will be very interesting to see what the future holds for Ronaldo at Manchester United. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 14 goals in 26 appearances for the club this season till now across all competitions.

At this point of time, it looks like Manchester United could be headed towards their fifth straight trophyless campaign and it is safe to say that Ronaldo would not want to spend the last few years of his career struggling to win titles.

If he ended up at a club like Bayern Munich or PSG, he would be expected to win plenty of trophies. On the other hand, AS Roma is an interesting name to consider as well due to the presence of Jose Mourinho as manager.
