Manchester United’s main objective right now has to be finishing in the top four of the Premier League. In that regard, they were handed a blow as they could only manage a 1-1 draw against Southampton. And while they have proven to be a difficult team to beat since Ralf Rangnick’s arrival as interim manager, the Red Devils are not getting enough wins of their own either.

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for Manchester United, who are already out of both the League Cup and the FA Cup.

Thus, it is very possible that the club could be headed towards their fifth straight trophyless campaign, unless something unexpected happens and they end up winning the Champions League.

Manchester United have some tough games coming up next as well as some winnable ones and these could potentially make or break their season.

Manchester United’s next 5 games after Southampton draw

Here are Manchester United’s next 5 games after they could only manage a 1-1 draw against Southampton in the Premier League:

Brighton & Hove Albion (Home)

Brighton & Hove Albion have done better than most fans would have expected at the start of the campaign and sit at a very respectable ninth right now, and are in a good run of form at the moment. Graham Potter is doing a great job to say the least.

Thus, they could prove to be a tricky test for a Manchester United side that have had trouble while facing most opponents this season.

Leeds United (Away)

Leeds United have struggled this season and could potentially be caught up in a relegation battle if they are not careful.

Also, they are not a team that will sit back and try to defend, and that will make things easier for Manchester United.

The Red Devils’ recent record against Marcelo Bielsa’s side is great and they should be confident of their chances in this one.
