Manchester United are expected to bring in a permanent manager in the summer. 2021/22 has not gone their way and the club parted ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November of last year, and then brought in Ralf Rangnick as the interim manager for the rest of the season. The German coach has not made the impact that they would have been hoping for though and he looks set for a consultancy role at the end of the campaign.

Thus, it will be interesting to see who Manchester United end up appointing as their next permanent manager.

A number of top names have been brought up like Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers, Luis Enrique and others. But at this point of time, it feels like Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite to get the job. The Argentine has been linked with Manchester United for years but the stars have not aligned till now. Let’s see if that changes in the summer.

And as reported by The Telegraph (via Mirror), Pochettino will urge Manchester United to sign Harry Kane if he becomes their next manager.

Pochettino will urge Manchester United to sign Kane

There is not much to say about the history between Kane and Pochettino. And it should not come as any surprise that if the Argentine manager ends up at Manchester United, he would want the Tottenham Hotspur striker to join him.

Kane was heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and has not been brilliant in the Premier League this season.

There is no question about the fact that he is still one of the best strikers in the history of the Premier League and played some of his best football under the management of Pochettino. Thus, things could get interesting if the Argentine joins Manchester United in the summer.
