Manchester United: 3 dream midfielder signings next summer
Declan Rice
Declan Rice has been linked with a move to Manchester United for a long time now without it ever materialising.
He has been a standout performer in the Premier League for quite some time and is a huge reason behind West Ham United’s steady rise up the table in recent years to the point where they are competing for a top four spot this season.
Rice is a regular in the midfield of the England national team as well and played a huge part in their run to the final of EURO 2022 before losing at the hands of Italy.
And at 23 years of age, Rice would be expected to get even better moving forward. As a result, he would be a terrific signing for Manchester United.
There a few obstacles in the way of any potential deal though. On one hand, West Ham United are believed to rate the midfielder at a transfer fee around £100 million. On the other hand, there is interest from clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City as well.
Fabian Ruiz
Another name that has been linked with Manchester United in recent times is that of Napoli midfielder, Fabian Ruiz.
The Spaniard has been one of the best midfielders in Serie A for a while now and has appeared to take his game to the next level this season, as Napoli find themselves competing for the title.
Ruiz has the ability to play defence splitting passes and accurate long balls, as well as controlling the tempo in the middle of the park. At the same time, he has the ability to carry the ball forward as well and has great dribbling ability.
Thus, he has a range of skills and the ability to play in multiple roles. He is believed to be rated at a transfer fee around £50 million but with his current deal at Napoli running out in the summer of 2023, he could potentially be available for a lower figure in the near future.
