Manchester United might have done a brilliant job keeping the core of their squad together in the previous summer transfer window but that might not remain the case for long. There are several players who have struggled for playing time at Old Trafford in recent times and are believed to be looking towards the exit door. Anthony Martial appears to be one such player, who has been linked with a move away in January itself.

There have also been suggestions that the club are open to the prospect of Martial leaving this month if the right offer comes in.

Martial has fallen significantly down the pecking order at Manchester United in recent times and currently finds himself behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho.

Several clubs have been linked with the French international although a move has not transpired yet. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Inside Futbol), Martial has been on the radar of Juventus for some time and the Serie A giants are still considering whether to make a move for him.

Juventus still weighing up potential move for the Manchester United star

Not too long ago, Martial was considered as one of the most important parts of Manchester United’s future.

And there is no question about his talent or potential. We have seen glimpses of that during his time at Old Trafford. But over the past season-and-a-half, he has struggled in front of goal and slid down the pecking order at Manchester United.

At this moment, a move away might be the right step for the club as well as the player. And signing Martial makes sense for Juventus at this point of time after Federico Chiesa suffered a long-term injury. Let’s see what the future holds for the Manchester United star.
