Manchester United have one of the strongest squads in the world right now although a few of their players have very little chance of playing regular first-team football anytime soon. Some of these players have remained at the club and struggled for game time. On the other hand, a few have been sent out on loan to clubs where they can play regularly and develop.

One player who has been helped by his loan spell away from Manchester United is Andreas Pereira. He is currently with Brazilian club Flamengo and has impressed since joining them.

And now, it looks like they might be trying to sign the Manchester United player on a permanent basis.

As reported by TNT Sports, Flamengo is close to agreeing a permanent move for Pereira and have already made an official proposal to Manchester United. Now it remains to be seen how things turn out.

Manchester United player is closing in on a permanent exit

Coming through the youth ranks, Pereira was one of the most highly-rated players at Manchester United and many expected him to eventually become a first-team regular for the Red Devils.

It is safe to say that that has not happened. Instead, Pereira has struggled to find his feet at the senior level. He could not impress for Manchester United and spent a few underwhelming loan spells away from Old Trafford as well.

Finally though, things appear to have clicked for Pereira, who is not only playing regular football for Flamengo but is also looking like one of their stars.

Thus, it is not hard to see why both the Brazilian club and the player might want the loan move to be made permanent. And considering that Pereira does not appear to have a clear path to the first-team at Old Trafford in the near future, it might be a good move for the Red Devils as well.
