Harry Maguire

Maguire’s time at Manchester United has been up and down to say the least. His first season at the club was not the best and he appeared to struggle to live up to the incredible expectations that were there.
He seemed to find his feet in his second season with Manchester United though and was very solid. In fact, he carried on his form for the England national team as well and played a big part in them reaching the EURO 2020 final before a heart-breaking defeat at the hands of Italy.
This season, the doubts surrounding the Manchester United captain are back though as once again, he has struggled for form.
As a result, there have been many calls for him to be dropped from the starting XI already although till now, he has managed to keep his place.
But with Victor Lindelof looking like the club’s best centre-back this season and Raphael Varane also returning from injury, a spell out of the starting XI for Maguire might not be a bad idea.
Marcus Rashford
Rashford might still be just 24 years of age but he is already a senior player at Manchester United. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 286 appearances for the club already.
Throughout the course of that time, one of his biggest qualities has been his effectiveness. That seems to be missing from his performances at this point of time though.
Rashford had looked brilliant in his first few performances after his return from injury but his form has faded away badly since then. And at this point of time, he is not playing like someone who should be starting regularly for Manchester United.
The problem though is that several of Manchester United’s forwards seem to be out of form at the moment and as a result, one has to wonder who would be brought in even if Rashford was left out.
