Manchester United vs Aston Villa: 3 things we learned
The performances continue to disappoint
The performances have been a big worry for Manchester United ever since the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager and it is actually a bit surprising that they have done quite well when it comes to results.
Despite the club having players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes and others, they have only scored more than one goal on just one occasion since the German coach got into the managerial hot seat.
And thus, it is safe to say that they need to improve their performances as soon as possible if they are to rise up the Premier League table over the coming weeks and months and hopefully finish in the top four, which must be their primary aim at this point of time although the FA Cup is very important as well.
In that regard, they appear to have a tough test ahead of them just a few days later.
The next Premier League game is going to be a tough one for Manchester United
If this game is anything to go by, Manchester United will have a tough time when they face Aston Villa once again, on Saturday.
Steven Gerrard’s side were arguably the better team on this occasion and will most probably be disappointed not to get anything out of this game. It will also provide them extra motivation to win when the two sides meet at Villa Park just a few days later.
On the other hand, that game will be equally important to Manchester United as they need all three points to keep up the pressure in the Premier League top four race. They lost against Wolves in their previous game and they do not have a lot of room for error left at this point of time.
