Manchester United would have gone into the game against Wolves knowing that they needed all three points. With clubs above them in the Premier League table dropping points in recent games, Ralf Rangnick’s side have been handed a huge chance to make their way up the table and break into the top four, if they can go on a great run of results.

Thus, this defeat at the hands of Wolves is a massive blow for the club in that regard, as things continue to go against them this season.

The performances have been worrying since the arrival of the German coach. And it continued here as well.

Wolves dominated the game to be very honest and Manchester United cannot complain about the result here. Truth be told, they had their brilliant Spanish goalkeeper to thank once again for keeping the score just at 1-0.

Manchester United vs Wolves: 3 things we learned

Here are three things we learned from Manchester United’s Premier League game against Wolves, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Red Devils:

Wolves completely dominated once again

In their first Premier League game of the season, Wolves had dominated as well, but on that occasion, they were unable to get a result.

Instead, Manchester United had got a winner very much against the run of play, with Mason Greenwood proving to be the difference on that day.

This time, it was not to be though, for the Red Devils. David de Gea was at his incredible best once again but it was not enough, as this time around, Wolves did manage to find a way past the Spaniard.

It’s back to the drawing board for Rangnick once again. They would have had hopes of moving up the table going into the game but instead, they could find themselves slipping down if this continues.
