Manchester United handed huge transfer blow by Newcastle
Manchester United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season but it is safe to say that after the start that they have made to the campaign, their targets must have had to shift quite a bit. The club parted ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after almost three years in charge and Ralf Rangnick has been brought in as the interim manager till the end of the campaign. Right now, they must be aiming towards finishing in the top four.
It remains to be seen whether they end up strengthening their squad in the January transfer window. There have been conflicting rumours around it to say the least.
One player that the Red Devils have been linked with heavily in recent times is Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara. But it appears that they have been handed a transfer blow in the race for the French midfielder.
As reported by Marca, Newcastle United are set to make a £10 million transfer bid for Kamara in January, with Eddie Howe keen to strengthen his squad as they battle relegation. On the other hand, Manchester United would prefer to wait until the summer.

Kamara’s current deal with Marseille is believed to run out next summer and as a result, he could be available as a free agent at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been a standout in Ligue 1 in recent times and thus, it is not hard to see why Manchester United might be interested in signing him.
Midfield is an area that Manchester United have needed to strengthen in for a while now, especially with the futures of Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek up in the air, and Nemanja Matic now 33 years of age and no longer in his prime.
