Manchester United receive huge Boubacar Kamara transfer boost
Boubacar Kamara has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks. The Red Devils have needed to make an addition in the middle of the park for quite some time and rumours have suggested that they could make a signing there in the near future. On the other hand, the Marseille midfielder has been a standout in Ligue 1 in recent times.
On top of everything else, Kamara’s current deal with Marseille is believed to run out next summer. As a result, he could walk out of the club as a free agent next summer or he could be available for a bargain transfer fee in January.
Amidst this, another update has emerged on the situation which will give Manchester United a lot of hope regarding the possibility of a transfer move in the future.
As reported by L’Equipe (via The Sun), Marseille’s offer on the table would have made Kamara the highest earner at the French club. But the midfielder appears to be refusing to agree new terms.
Manchester United handed Kamara transfer boost
With Kamara’s current deal running out next summer, he would be free to agree a pre-contract from January 1.
Also, it opens up the possibility of Marseille letting him leave in the January transfer window rather than see him become a free agent just months later. Some rumours have suggested that in that scenario, he could be available for a transfer fee around £10 million.
It remains to be seen what the future holds and clubs other than Manchester United are also believed to be interested in signing Kamara if he leaves Marseille.
On the other hand, he is not the only midfielder who Manchester United have been linked with recently as there have been rumours about RB Leipzig’s Amadou Haidara as well. It is safe to say that things are getting interesting at Old Trafford.
