Manchester United: 3 players who have a big chance under Rangnick
Ralf Rangnick’s arrival as Manchester United’s interim manager till the end of the season is expected to bring a lot of changes with it. The style of football that the German coach’s sides are known to play is very different to what the club were playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. And it is safe to say that that could result in changes in the playing XI at Old Trafford.
Rangnick’s arrival is a chance for many Manchester United players, who were not getting a lot of chances at Old Trafford during the time of Solskjaer, to get into the first-team picture.
While the club might have struggled for results earlier in the campaign, the Norwegian had decided to stick with the same group of players for most of it.
It remains to be seen if Rangnick rings in the changes over the coming weeks and months. We have already seen a few players, who had been struggling for playing time before this, make their mark in the first-team.
Manchester United: 3 players who have a big chance under Rangnick
Here are three Manchester United players who have a big chance under Ralf Rangnick to get into the Red Devils’ starting XI:
Alex Telles
Telles had been linked with a move to the Premier League for a long time before finally making the jump in the summer of 2020, joining Manchester United.
It is safe to say that he has not made the impact that he would have been hoping for, spending the majority of his time on the bench, while Luke Shaw has been the regular starter for the club.
This season though, Shaw has failed to recapture his form from last season and recently, he suffered an injury. That allowed Telles to come into the starting XI and he has done a tremendous job since then. And there could well and truly be genuine competition for the left-back spot now.
