Park Ji-sung is perhaps one of the most underrated players in Manchester United’s recent history. He was a major part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s side that dominated the Premier League towards the end of the 2000s. He might not have been a name that stood out immediately but his value to that team is very clear. He is the type of player you miss when he is not playing.

It has been almost a decade since Park has left Manchester United but he is still remembered fondly by fans for his contributions. And it is safe to say that he is one of the most successful Asian players in Premier League history.

There’s one more South Korean player who has made his mark in English football in recent times though. And that man is Son Heung-min, who has been an absolute superstar for Tottenham Hotspur.

And it looks like Park would like to see him in a Manchester United shirt one day and believes that he would be a success at Old Trafford. As reported by GOAL, he said:

"“He has already proved himself in the Premier League and I believe he’s good enough to do very well at United.“The only minor issue would be he may not get his favourite No.7 shirt as Ronaldo is already there!”"

Park believes Son could do very well at Manchester United

Son has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past. And it is not hard to see why.

He has been tremendous since joining Tottenham Hotspur. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 114 goals and provided 67 assists for the club in 299 appearances till now.

Thus, it is safe to say that he has already proven himself in English football and has been one of the standout players in the Premier League over the past few years.

Thus, he would be a terrific signing for Manchester United. But at this point of time, a move does not appear to be on the cards. And at 29 years of age, Son might have only one big move left, if he does intend to leave Tottenham Hotspur someday.
