The game against Crystal Palace is a fresh start for Manchester United as Ralf Rangnick’s run as the club’s interim manager will begin. The Red Devils have not had a great Premier League campaign till now but they have time on their side to turn things around as we are still just in early December. Now, it remains to be seen what the German coach can do while sitting in the Old Trafford hot seat.

He certainly arrives with a huge reputation, having been one of the most influential managers in modern football.

But while he has had notable spells at clubs like RB Leipzig and Schalke, there is no doubt that Manchester United will represent the most high profile job of his career. Thus, this is expected to be a big test for Rangnick as well.

As a result, there will be a lot of eyes on the starting XI he names against Crystal Palace. The Red Devils have picked up some form recently, having won two and drawn one of their previous three games across all competitions. And this will be a great opportunity for them to keep the momentum going and climb up the Premier League table.

Here’s how we think Ralf Rangnick could line Manchester United up against Crystal Palace, in his first game as interim manager of the Red Devils:

Towards the end of last season, it had looked like De Gea’s Manchester United career was coming to an end. He had not been at the top of his game for a few seasons at that point and Dean Henderson had appeared to move ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Spaniard has done tremendously well to win his place back in the team since then. But with Rangnick arriving, he might have to do it all over again.
