Bruno Fernandes finds his scoring boots in an important game

Bruno Fernandes has not scored as often this season as he has in the past and his role has been much more about creating chances this time around.

Fernandes had scored a hattrick in the first game of the Premier League season but goals had dried up for him after that.

Coming into the game against Arsenal, he had scored only once since that opening day hattrick against Leeds United. But fortunately, he found his scoring boots on this occasion.

Fernandes equalised for the Red Devils just before the break and it is safe to say that it was a huge goal in this match. It handed the momentum to Manchester United going into half-time. If they had gone into the dressing room a goal behind, this match might have played out very differently.

Now, one can only hope that this is the beginning of a good run of form for Fernandes, who has not been at his best this season till now.

Fred blows hot and cold in the same game

Fred might be one of the most unpredictable players in the Premier League right now. And that was on full display on this occasion.

The game did not start well for him and he did have a hand in one of Arsenal’s goals but then, Fred appeared to get it going as the game progressed. And by the end of it, there is no denying that he played his part in this Manchester United win.

Fred has had his fair share of critics but there is no denying that he has his qualities as well. What he needs most is to find some consistency in a Manchester United shirt. On some days he is brilliant, on others he does look up to the mark.
