Manchester United are entering a new era after they decided to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he had been the manager of the club for almost three years. It was not a massive surprise though considering the fact that the Red Devils are sitting at 8th in the Premier League at the moment and to be honest, the Norwegian had been walking the managerial tightrope for a while.

At the moment, Michael Carrick is serving as the caretaker manager at Old Trafford. But it looks like they are closing in on appointing Ralf Rangnick as the interim manager until the end of the season, after which he would take a consultancy role for two years.

Naturally, if the appointment ends up happening, Manchester United would be expected to be linked with moves for RB Leipzig players.

One player who has already admitted in the past that he dreams of Manchester United is Amadou Haidara. As reported by the Mirror, he told Bild in 2019:

"“I like Manchester United very much and watch as many games as possible. I dream of playing there.”"

Haidara could be a solid addition for this Manchester United team

One area that this Manchester United team needs to strengthen in as soon as possible is in the middle of the park. Questions have been raised about the partnership of Fred and Scott McTominay for a while now. On the other hand, Nemanja Matic is 33 years of age and no longer in his prime as a footballer.

As a result, someone like Haidara could be a solid addition in this current Manchester United team. Despite being just 23 years of age, he has been a regular in RB Leipzig’s midfield for a while now.

It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils end up making moves for RB Leipzig stars in the near future if Rangnick ends up becoming the club’s interim manager, which looks likely at this point.
