Manchester United’s start to the season might have left a lot to be desired but there is no question about the fact that the Red Devils still have one of the best squads in world football. And one of their strongest positions is up top at striker. Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani are two of the best of their generation. And beyond them, the likes of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are also capable of playing up top.

But, there is no denying the fact that neither Ronaldo nor Cavani are in their prime at this point of time. And the Uruguayan is also expected to leave the club next summer.

Thus, Manchester United could definitely do with another striker. And it appears that they have their eyes on one of the most exciting in Europe right now.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic and have been watching the £70 million-rated striker.

Manchester United linked with move for Vlahovic

Vlahovic is arguably the most exciting young striker in Europe right now, except Erling Haaland. The Serbian has been absolutely sensational for Fiorentina in recent times.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 21 goals in Serie A last season and has already scored 10 goals in 13 appearances this season. And still just 21 years of age, the sky is the limit for Vlahovic.

Naturally, he has already been linked with a move to several of Europe’s biggest clubs. And Manchester United appear to be one who are keeping an eye on the Serbian.

Vlahovic seems destined to be one of the top strikers in Europe over the next decade or so. He could be a long-term solution for the Red Devils up top and prove to be a brilliant signing, if he can keep performing like he has in the past few years.
