Manchester United’s bad run of form shows no sign of slowing down. Going into the game against Watford, fans must have been confident that they could get three points from this match. After all, The Hornets were sitting at 17th in the Premier League table. But things did not go as expected, as the Red Devils were handed a convincing 4-1 defeat by the hosts and to be honest, they actually could have scored more goals than they did.

It is safe to say that things are far from ideal at Manchester United right now. Coming into the season, they were expected to compete for the Premier League title but at the moment, it looks like they could struggle to even get into the top four.

Thus, the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been heavily debated in recent weeks. It is not hard to see why the club are reluctant to make a change. Not only is he a Manchester United legend but has also been the manager of the club for almost three years now.

But with every defeat, the pressure to make a change is growing. And it is safe to say that the atmosphere around the club is not pleasant right now.

As reported by the Express, Solskjaer joined the players in thanking the away supporters and the Norwegian even held up his hands in apologetic manner. But Bruno Fernandes did not seem happy when the fans started to boo the gesture and he started waving his finger in disgust. Before the situation could escalate, the Portuguese star was dragged away by a teammate and was later consoled by the manager.

Things have not been going well for Manchester United for a while now and it is clear that changes are needed. But still, it is not right to boo a club legend like Solskjaer when he appears to be apologising for the result.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Solskjaer at Manchester United. He already appeared to be on slippery ground before this defeat against Watford.
