The game against Atalanta was a major boost for Manchester United. At one point of time, things were looking very worrying for the Red Devils as they went into half-time trailing 2-0. But they came out of the break in spectacular fashion, scoring three goals through Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo, and walking out of Old Trafford with a comeback 3-2 win against the Italian side.

Now, it is important for Manchester United to build on this result and get some momentum back on their side.

The Red Devils have been in disappointing form lately, losing four of their last eight games across all competitions. And if they are to compete for trophies this season, they need to improve drastically.

The upcoming game against Liverpool will be very important for this Manchester United team. Jurgen Klopp’s side are in terrific form at the moment. On the other hand, the Red Devils have been handed a Bruno Fernandes injury worry.

Manchester United handed Bruno Fernandes injury blow before Liverpool game

As reported by The Sun, Fernandes is an injury doubt for the game against Liverpool. He played the full 90 minutes against Atalanta but was on the receiving end of several strong challenges. And he started feeling the effects the next afternoon while warm down training and was limping heavily.

It goes without saying that this will be a massive worry for Solskjaer. Fernandes has arguably been Manchester United’s best player since arriving at the club in January of 2020.

His role has changed up a bit this season following the arrival of Ronaldo in the summer. While he is no longer scoring as frequently, he is setting up goals at a more consistent rate than before.

If Fernandes ends up missing the game against Liverpool, it will make things much for difficult for Manchester United, in what is already expected to be a very tough game.
