Manchester United will be going into the game against Atalanta knowing that they need a win badly, not just for their UEFA Champions League campaign but for their entire season. The Red Devils have been in rough form lately, losing four of their last seven games and need to turn things around as soon as possible if they are to challenge for trophies this season.

Atalanta have not enjoyed a great start to their campaign either. While they sit atop their Champions League group, they are sixth in the Serie A and already 10 points behind league leaders Napoli.

Thus, it is safe to say that both teams will be keen to get a win under their belt and this could end up being a tight fixture. There is some good news for Manchester United though.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Edinson Cavani and Fred are available once again. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, the manager said:

"“Raphael is still not with us but Edinson and Fred are back available which is good for us.”"

Now, Cavani has not featured a lot this season. But we have seen this side struggle recently in front of goal. And as a result, having someone of Cavani’s quality, even if on the bench, is always brilliant.

On the other hand, Fred has faced a lot of criticism in recent times. But one has to admit that he does a job for the team that nobody else does and at the moment, he is very important in Solskjaer’s style.

Thus, both of their availability is good news for Manchester United. Whether they will feature against Atalanta or not remains to be seen. But it definitely gives Solskjaer more options at a point of time when he needs as many as he can get.

It must also be pointed out that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be available for selection as well after his red card ban was reduced.
