Jules Kounde makes Manchester United transfer decision

It was just this summer that Manchester United signed Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and it was believed that his partnership with Harry Maguire in the heart of defence could be a regular feature at Old Trafford for years to come with both of them being just 28 years of age. But now, the Red Devils are already being linked with a potential move for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde in the future.

The disappointing start to the campaign might very well be a reason for that. Varane has come in and established himself in the starting XI, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have struggled to keep clean sheets despite the French World Cup winner’s presence in the backline.

On the other hand, the form of Maguire has been a worry as well. The Manchester United captain was brilliant for both club and country last season but his performances have not been great this season till now.

Kounde is someone who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past and those rumours have emerged once again. And as reported by El Nacional, he has asked his agent to negotiate with Manchester United.

Kounde is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in all of Europe right now and many believe that he could go on to become one of the best in the world in the future.

Thus, Manchester United’s interest in him should not come as a surprise and it is a major boost for them that he appears to be interested in a move to Old Trafford as well.

Of course there are other clubs who could be in the transfer race as well. Real Madrid have been linked with him for a long time while Chelsea appeared to be on the verge of signing the France international in the summer but a move failed to materialise.
