Manchester United’s upcoming game against Leicester City is very vital for the club. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have not been in great form lately, having won just two of their previous six games. And their upcoming run of fixtures is not going to help them either, as it could very well be the toughest phase of their season.

Over the next six games, Manchester United are set to face Atalanta twice, Leicester City, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. It is safe to say that their results over these games could have a huge effect on how their 2021/22 campaign turns out.

They have a lot of worries going into the Leicester City game though. Both Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire are expected to miss the match. And the same goes with Fred, with Brazil playing their first qualifier in Colombia.

Thus, Solskjaer has a lot of interesting decisions to make on his hands regarding the starting XI that will take on Leicester City away at the King Power Stadium.

Here’s how we think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could line Manchester United up when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium:

David de Gea

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Eric Bailly

Victor Lindelof

Luke Shaw

Scott McTominay

Paul Pogba

Mason Greenwood

Bruno Fernandes

Jadon Sancho

Cristiano Ronaldo

With Varane and Maguire expected to be out, Bailly and Lindelof will most probably be the duo at the heart of Manchester United’s defence against Leicester City.

On the other hand, with Fred missing, one would expect Pogba to move back into the midfield duo. He could partner McTominay in the middle of the park, who is coming off of scoring an incredible late winner for the Scotland national team during this international break. Nemanja Matic could be another possible option as well though.

This in turn would allow Sancho to take the left-wing spot. Other than that, the rest of the team could be pretty much what it has been for most of the season.
