Manchester United find themselves in a bit of a tough spot at the moment. Firstly, they have not been in great form lately. Over their last six games, they have won just twice, lost thrice and drawn once. It is safe to say that that is not a great run of results and the Red Devils need to turn things around as quickly as possible.

Things are not going to get any easier for them though. Over the next six games, they are set to face Atalanta on two occasions and Manchester City, Liverpool, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur once each. Games against Chelsea and Arsenal are not far away either.

On top of all this, there are concerns about certain players being available as well. And it looks like Manchester United could be without four stars when they meet Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said about Harry Maguire:

"“Harry was on the grass this morning and that was the first day out there.”"

As a result, it looks like he is moving in the right direction but could be out of action for a little bit longer still. On the other hand, it looks like Raphael Varane won’t feature as well. As reported by the club’s official website, the manager said:

"“Yeah, you know the international breaks are sometimes a time to cross your fingers and hope for the best.“Because as we see with Raphael, he’s got an injury, out for a few weeks, but then again Victor and Eric played in the internationals and got good game time so that was good for us.”"

Fred and Edinson Cavani don’t look likely to feature against the Foxes either as the manager added:

"“With regards to Fred and Edinson, they played a full game this morning, half 1 it kicked off, so of course we’re not counting on them.“We’ve got to give them the time to rest and recover, which of course you have to.“They played well, and that was a good thing for us. They’re not injured, so hopefully they can be involved again in midweek, for the Champions League [game versus Atalanta].”"

When it comes to Maguire and Varane, they could be out for a while yet. On the other hand, Fred and Cavani could be back in the midweek game against Atalanta in the Champions League.

The incredible depth of Manchester United’s squad means that Solskjaer might be able to navigate through this situation despite it being far from ideal.

There are several options in most areas. The presence of Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof in the squad is proof of that. While neither of them might be first-choice centre-backs right now, they both have a lot of potential and it will be interesting to see how they do over the coming weeks.
