There is no doubt about the fact that Manchester United have one of the most exciting frontlines in all of football at the moment. Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard, are available for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to pick from, while Paul Pogba has also featured in an attacking role quite a few times this season and done quite well in that role.
One man that they are missing at the moment though is Marcus Rashford, who underwent a shoulder operation recently and has been recovering from that over the last couple of months.
Rashford has been an important part of this Manchester United team for years now after he broke into the first-team as a teenager. And when he returns to action, he would be expected to have a place in the starting XI.
Rashford gave an update about his fitness situation earlier. He tweeted out that he will consult with a doctor on Friday and could get permission to join in with contact training again if all is well:
Rashford returning would be a massive boost to this Manchester United team
Rashford is one of the most exciting young talents in world football right now and it is easy to forget that he is still just 23 years of age, considering how long he has been a regular in this Manchester United team.
Him returning would surely be a massive boost for Solskjaer’s side. While they have a lot of talent going forward, we have seen that at times, they have found it difficult to break down opposition defences.
Rashford has the ability to produce a moment of magic and score even against teams that are playing deep. And, he is also a player who appears to rise to the occasion. Thus, one can only hope that he is back on the pitch soon.
