Manchester United superstar confirmed to be available vs Aston Villa

Manchester United have made a great start to their Premier League campaign despite already stumbling a couple of times in Cup competitions. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sit at third in the table, with the same number of points as Chelsea and Liverpool, who are only ahead on goal difference. But the Red Devils are already out of the League Cup and lost their opening game of the Champions League group stage, against Young Boys, as well.

Thus, it is clear that the team needs to bounce back and as soon as possible. In that regard, the upcoming game against Aston Villa will play a major part.

A good performance against them could help take some of the pressure away. A bad one could raise further questions about this Manchester United team and their chances of winning a trophy this season.

Heading into the game, Solskjaer has been handed a major boost by Edinson Cavani, who is available for selection again. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, the manager said:

"“Edinson has joined in training fully after that game [on Wednesday] and he’s held his hand up and is ready.“Last season as well, he didn’t have a pre-season when he came here. He’s so professional and meticulous and, of course, we’re glad to now have him back training with us and in the squad.”"

This will be a massive boost for Manchester United. Cavani showed in the previous season that even at this stage of his career, he is one of the best strikers in the world when on form.

Cristiano Ronaldo has looked spectacular ever since coming in and has scored in every game that he has played till now. But the Red Devils cannot rely only on the Portuguese superstar to find the back of the net for them through the course of the season. If they are to have a successful campaign, they need multiple other sources for goals.

Hopefully, Cavani is able to remain fit moving forward and finds his form as well. Manchester United are a much more complete team with him available than without him.
