Manchester United have significantly strengthened their squad during the time of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the manager. So much so that they must be considered as one of the Premier League title favourites at this point of time. The Red Devils had already finished second in the previous campaign and have brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton this summer.

Their start to the domestic season has been great as well. After the first five games, they have 13 points and sit joint top of the Premier League table with Chelsea and Liverpool. It must be said though that those clubs have a better goal difference but overall, things are looking very promising for Solskjaer’s side and they appear set to be in the title race.

Of course, the incredible strength and depth of their squad, especially upfront, means that some players might struggle to get minutes on the pitch this season. One player who has not featured a lot till now is Anthony Martial.

And as reported by Eurosport, Manchester United are looking for a transfer fee around £40 million for Martial to leave.

It looks like Manchester United are open to the prospect of Martial leaving the club. He was one of the most important players in this team not too long ago but has slid down the pecking order a bit in recent times.

At this point of time, it is hard to see him start at striker a lot with the likes Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani at Old Trafford. On the other hand, there is a lot of depth on the wings as well, with the likes of Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood, whose long-term future most probably lies more centrally.

It will be interesting to see where Martial heads if he does indeed end up leaving Manchester United in the near future.
