Paul Pogba’s current Manchester United deal is set to run out next summer and as a result, his future at Old Trafford is up in the air at the moment. He has been linked with a move away from the Theatre of Dreams several times over the last few years. But this time around, with his contract running out at the end of the season, the decision will be completely in the hands of the Frenchman.

With the form that Pogba has shown at the start of this campaign, it is understandable that Manchester United want to see him extend his stay at Old Trafford beyond this season and sign an extension with the club.

The French midfield maestro has been absolutely brilliant this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has provided 7 assists in just 5 Premier League appearances till now.

The likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with him, and the name of Juventus was brought up as a possible destination as well recently. And it looks like the Italian giants have made a decision regarding a potential move for Pogba.

As reported by the Mirror, Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini has said that the club will be looking towards younger, upcoming talents:

"“On the market we will look for players like Haaland before the final maturity.“Any investment will go in the direction of a young profile. I plan to bet on another type of player.”"

It looks like Juventus might not be making a move for Pogba next summer even if he ends up becoming a free agent as the Serie A giants appear to be looking to move in a different direction.

The best case scenario for Manchester United will be Pogba signing a contract extension and remaining at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future. While his time at the club has been up-and-down, it does look like he has come into his own recently and is playing some of the best football of his career right now.

He is very much a part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and someone who is incredibly important to this team.
