It is arguable that Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United’s best player ever since joining the club in January of 2020. And the Portuguese playmaker’s incredible form has been one of the biggest reasons behind the massive improvement that the Red Devils have shown in recent years.

When Fernandes joined the club, their top four chances were looking shaky. But they ended up finishing third that season and second in the following one. And now with the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton this summer, they look like one of the favourites for the Premier League title. After four games, they sit at the top of the table.

Thus, it goes without saying that Manchester United would want to keep Fernandes at the Theatre of Dreams for the foreseeable future. It is believed that negotiations over a new contract have been going on for a while. And it looks like the club have managed to make a breakthrough.

While speaking on his YouTube channel and as reported by This is Futbol, Fabrizio Romano said:

"“Bruno wants to stay, Bruno has decided to stay at Manchester United, and they are discussing about the salary.”"

Fernandes has made a decision about his Manchester United future

Fernandes deciding to remain at Manchester United is brilliant news for the club. He remains one of the most important parts of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans and is vital to the Red Devils’ future success.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Fernandes has scored 44 goals and provided 26 assists in 85 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United till now. It is safe to say that those are incredible numbers, especially for a playmaker. Also, at 27 years of age, he is in his prime as a footballer right now.

This is certainly a good step on the part of the club. Not only have they built a team that can compete for titles in the present but they are also making sure of their future as well.
