Manchester United have made a splendid start to their Premier League season as they sit at top of the table with 10 points from their first four games. While Chelsea and Liverpool have the same number of points as well as goal difference, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have scored more goals till now.

The focus must now shift towards the UEFA Champions League though, with Manchester United set to begin their European campaign with an away game against Young Boys.

The Red Devils will be looking to make a good start to their Champions League campaign but will also know that they will have to keep up their performances throughout the course of the six group stage games.

As we saw last season, Solskjaer’s side enjoyed a fantastic start to their Champions League campaign with big wins over Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig but ended up finishing third in their group.

Manchester United Predicted XI vs Young Boys

Here’s how we think Solskjaer could line Manchester United up when they face Young Boys in the Champions League:

David de Gea

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Raphael Varane

Harry Maguire

Luke Shaw

Paul Pogba

Fred

Mason Greenwood

Bruno Fernandes

Jesse Lingard

Cristiano Ronaldo

With the start that they have made to the season, there is no need for many changes. Also, Solskjaer’s side would be expected to want to start their Champions League campaign on the front foot. Thus, expect to see a strong starting XI against Young Boys.

De Gea is expected to remain in goal and 90 more minutes of gelling together would do the new defensive combination the world of good as well. There could possibly be one change in midfield with Fred coming back into the line up.

Lingard has been in brilliant form recently, scoring for both Manchester United and the England national team, and he could end up getting his first start of the season. Up top, Ronaldo would be expected to lead the line once again.
