Manchester United are coming off of a brilliant summer transfer window where they have managed to strengthen their squad significantly and are being considered as one of the favourites for the Premier League title this season. But it looks like the Red Devils have their eyes on the future at the same time and could be looking to make a move for a Spanish star also believed to be wanted by the likes of FC Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

At the moment, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have a lot of options in attacking midfield with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Donny Van de Beek, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba in the squad. But they might want to strengthen there further in the future.

As reported by Marca, Manchester United are one of the clubs who have their sights on Dani Olmo. FC Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in the Spanish international currently playing for RB Leipzig.

Olmo is rated at around €70 million (£60 million). According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 7 goals and provided 12 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for RB Leipzig last season.

Manchester United interested in Olmo

It will be interesting to see whether Manchester United end up making a move for Olmo in the future. Not only has he been impressive for RB Leipzig in recent times but has caught the eye while playing for the Spanish national team as well.

He is an attacking midfielder who has the ability to play on the wings as well if the situation calls for it. Both of those are areas that the Red Devils have a lot of options in at the moment though.

Even if Manchester United do decide to make a move for Olmo, competition is expected to be tough for his signature with some of the biggest clubs in Europe believed to be interested in signing him. In fact, FC Barcelona are believed to have tried to sign him late in the recently concluded summer transfer window. Thus, it remains to be seen how things turn out in the transfer race for the Spaniard in the future.
