Jurgen Klopp admits he is not happy with Manchester United transfer
It is safe to say that after the summer transfer window that Manchester United enjoyed, they must be considered as one of the title favourites this season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are top of the Premier League after the first four games of the season although it must be said that they have not yet faced any team currently in the top 10 and tougher tests will be ahead.
Overall though, things are looking up for the Red Devils, following the additions of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton. The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Mason Greenwood appear to be in brilliant form as well, which is further good news for the club.
Many believe that Manchester United are one of the four sides who have genuine title chances this season. The other three are believed to be Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, recently admitted that he is not happy with Ronaldo being at Old Trafford. As reported by Manchester Evening News, he told Sky Sports:
"“Am I happy that he is at United? No, I can’t say that.”"
Klopp also admitted that he was surprised that Ronaldo wanted to leave Juventus:
"“I was surprised, not about United, him going in there in the end, but when I first heard the rumours about him wanting to leave Juventus.”"
Klopp not happy that Ronaldo is at Manchester United
It is understandable that Klopp would not be happy with Ronaldo being at Manchester United, as he is the manager of a club who are expected to compete with the Red Devils for the Premier League title this season.
At 36 years of age, Ronaldo might not be a long-term solution for the club but he could have a massive immediate impact on this team this season. Not only is the Portuguese superstar still a brilliant player but his presence might lead to those around him raising their game as well.
Ronaldo has already shown what he brings to the table with two goals against Newcastle United on his second debut for Manchester United and it remains to be seen if he can continue to deliver throughout the course of the season.
