The 2021 summer transfer window looks like one of the most successful in Manchester United’s recent history. They made a few excellent signings, which has turned them into one of the favourites for the Premier League title.

The club managed to bring in Tom Heaton on a free transfer. The long-running transfer saga surrounding Jadon Sancho came to an end as well. Then, the Red Devils managed to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. And just when it seemed as if they were done with incomings this summer, Manchester United pulled off a sensational return to Old Trafford for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Not only were they able to bring in some fantastic players but they were also successful in keeping hold of those at the club already. The name of Paul Pogba comes to mind immediately in that regard.

The Frenchman is in the final year of his contract though and will become a free agent next summer if he does not agree a contract extension soon. If that ends up being the case, some of the biggest clubs in Europe are expected to be interested in his signature.

Real Madrid continue to be linked with the Manchester United star

As reported by Marca, Pogba’s name cannot be ruled out as a possible addition for Real Madrid in 2022/23. The Spanish giants are expected to make a splash next summer and are also being linked with moves for Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Real Madrid is a club that Pogba has been linked with for a long time now. But they are not the only one. Paris Saint-Germain were linked with a move for the Frenchman this summer itself but ultimately, that did not materialise.

Of course, one cannot rule out the possibility of him remaining at Old Trafford, especially following the additions that Manchester United have made to their squad recently and Pogba’s own incredible performances this season.
