Manchester United confirm brilliant news for Newcastle United game
Manchester United have made a good start to their Premier League campaign, with 7 points from their first three games and currently sit at third on the points table. And things are certainly looking up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side moving forward.
The club made some spectacular signings over the course of the summer transfer window, bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton. Thus, they have managed to strengthen the squad significantly and must be considered as one of the Premier League title contenders this season.
Out of the four signings, it goes without saying that it is Ronaldo’s return that the fans are most excited about. The Portuguese superstar has returned to the Theatre of Dreams more than a decade after leaving.
And it looks like he will make his second debut for the club in the game against Newcastle United. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Solskjaer said at a press conference:
"“He’s been having a good pre-season with Juventus.“He’s played for the national team, he’s had a good week with us here. He’ll definitely be on the pitch at some point, that’s for sure.”"
Ronaldo will make his second Manchester United debut vs Newcastle United
This is something that Manchester United fans have been waiting for years. Ronaldo is set to make his second debut for the Red Devils.
Ronaldo had already won his first Ballon d’Or and UEFA Champions League title with the club before he completed a then world record move to Real Madrid back in the summer of 2009. Since then, rumours have broken out several times regarding a possible return to Old Trafford and it has finally taken place this summer.
At 36 years of age, Ronaldo is no longer in his prime as a footballer and is a very different kind of player to the tricky winger he was during his first stint at the club. He is still one of the best players in the world though and hopefully will be able to make a big impact on this young Manchester United team.
