Paul Pogba is someone whose future at Manchester United remains up in the air at the moment. He is currently in the final 12 months of his contract and could very well end up leaving the club as a free agent next summer. But the signings of world-class players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane could possibly be something that end up playing a factor when the French midfield maestro decides his future at Old Trafford.

Pogba is very much a big part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans at this point of time. And it is safe to say that he has made an incredible start to the season.

According to stats from Premier League’s official website, he has provided 5 assists in his 3 appearances in the competition this season till now. Interestingly, that is more than the number of assists he has provided in three of his last five Premier League campaigns with the Red Devils.

Pogba seems delighted with the club signing Varane. While speaking with Telefoot regarding the move for his French international teammate, he said:

"“The arrival of Raph is always positive, especially for the club. We have a very good relationship, we have known each other for a very long time. I am happy that he is with us and that he brings his experience and his qualities.”"

Regarding the move for Ronaldo, he told Telefoot:

"“It’s always a pleasure to play with the best. It’s a boost for the team. The level will increase. We want everything to go very well.”"

It goes without saying that both Ronaldo and Varane are brilliant players and they should bring a lot to this team not only on the pitch but off it as well.

Both of them have incredible experience at the top level and when it comes to winning trophies. They were integral members of a legendary Real Madrid team that won four Champions League titles over the space of five seasons. On top of that, Ronaldo already has the experience of winning 9 trophies for the Red Devils during his first stint at Old Trafford and will surely be looking to add to that collection.

The club have not won a trophy in four seasons now but this time around there are a lot of hopes and expectations that they can bring an end to that streak and lift some silverware.
