Manchester United are coming off of a brilliant summer transfer window and this is certainly a very exciting time to be a fan of the club. Not only did they sign Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton but also managed to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo to the Theatre of Dreams in what was a very surprising move.

Throughout the course of the summer, Ronaldo had been linked with a Juventus exit but a return to Old Trafford did not appear to be on the cards. Things only appeared to open up when it became clear that Harry Kane was set to remain at Tottenham Hotspur.

Ronaldo was linked with a move to Manchester City, who were believed to be interested in signing Kane this summer. But the Red Devils appeared to move swiftly and got the deal done.

Ronaldo is set to wear the iconic no. 7 shirt once again but there is further exciting news surrounding the Portuguese superstar.

Ronaldo is set to make his second debut for Manchester United soon

As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Ronaldo landed at Manchester Airport on Thursday evening and is now preparing to start training with the Red Devils at Carrington next week.

It will be very interesting to see how the Portuguese legend fits into this current Manchester United side. It is safe to say that he is a very different player today than he was in his first stint at Old Trafford. He is a complete goalscorer now and not the tricky winger that he was back then. Also, he is 36 years of age and has been away from the Premier League for over a decade.

But even at 36, he is still a tremendous player and topped the Serie A scoring charts just last season. Playing with someone like him, who has been at the top of the game for over a decade-and-a-half will be beneficial for the club’s youngsters. And if Ronaldo can find his feet in the Premier League once again, we might be in for a treat.
