Manchester United have enjoyed a splendid summer transfer window, making some incredible signings in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton, while not losing any of their first-team regulars.

The team had shown some tremendous progress last season and finished in second position in the Premier League table. And now, with the additions that they have made this summer, they must be considered as one of the favourites for the title and there would expectations that they can end their four-season trophyless streak this time around.

Outgoings might not be over at Old Trafford yet though as it looks like Daniel James, who has started two of the club’s three Premier League games till now this season, could possibly end up leaving on a permanent basis.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted out that Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign James on a permanent deal. Discussions are ongoing to complete the agreement and there are talks on personal terms also.

James could end up leaving Manchester United this summer

It had appeared that James was very much in Solskjaer’s plans for the season. But with the arrival of Ronaldo, the Red Devils have incredible depth up front and as a result, a few players might not get a lot of playing time this season.

As a result, it should not come as a surprise if James did end up leaving before the summer transfer window slams shut. While he has played quite a decent amount of football for the club over the past two seasons, he has not managed to establish himself as a regular in the starting XI.

He does have a lot of great qualities though and could be a regular starter for several teams across the Premier League. Now, it remains to be seen if the move to Leeds United ends up happening. He has been linked with the club for quite some time now.
