The return that Manchester United fans had been waiting for for over a decade has finally taken place. Cristiano Ronaldo is finally back at the Theatre of Dreams.

The transfer saga certainly took a few unexpected twists and turns along the way. Just yesterday, it was looking like he was headed to Manchester City. But as news emerged today that the Premier League champions had pulled out of the transfer race, the Red Devils became the clear frontrunners.

Will Ronaldo be a success at Manchester United the second time around?

It is safe to say that Cristiano Ronaldo is already a club legend at Old Trafford. He already secured that status during his first stint at the club. Now the question is, how will he do in his second stint?

Ronaldo is now 36 years of age and it is safe to say that he is no longer in his prime as a footballer. But he is still a very effective one and one of the best on the planet on his day. While his time at Juventus might not have gone as many would have hoped, he still scored 101 goals for them in three seasons according to stats from Transfermarkt.

Now, it must also be considered that he is returning to the Premier League. That can be a difficult transition as well after being away for over a decade. But overall, this could prove to be a fantastic move for the Red Devils if the Portuguese legend can find his feet at the club once again.
