Manchester United still have chance to make major signing
By Nirmit Mehta
Manchester United strengthened their squad with the additions of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton in the summer transfer window. However, one area that still needs to be addressed is the middle of the park.
While the Red Devils already have a very strong squad, the addition of a defensive midfielder could very possibly take them to the next level.
One player who has been heavily linked with the club recently is Eduardo Camavinga. He is also believed to have caught the attention of a number of other top European clubs. The 18-year-old Rennes wonderkid’s current contract runs out next summer, and it does not look like he will sign an extension.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano a couple of days back, there are still chances that Camavinga could depart Rennes this summer and the French club are open to letting him leave for a transfer fee around €35 million:

Will Manchester United make a move for Camavinga this summer?
Despite being just 18 years of age, Camavinga already has a lot of experience under his best and has been a regular for Rennes for a couple of seasons now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 86 appearances for the French club till now. He has also represented the France national team on a few occasions.
Fred and Scott McTominay are the two players who have been most often deployed in a double pivot by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in recent times. However, there is a feeling that another signing might be needed, who can play in that role.
Many believe that Camavinga has the potential to be one of the best players in all of Europe in the future if he can continue to develop and improve.
As a result, several European clubs are believed to be keeping an eye on his situation. Hence, the Red Devils will certainly have some tough competition on their hands even if they decided to make a move for the French youngster.
