Cristiano Ronaldo move would break Manchester United fans’ hearts
Cristiano Ronaldo is a Manchester United legend, there is no doubt about that. He had an incredibly successful time at the Theatre of Dreams that saw him win multiple trophies as well as his first Ballon d’Or.
It has been over a decade since the Portuguese superstar departed Old Trafford to join Real Madrid in a then world record transfer move. A lot has happened since then, with Ronaldo establishing himself as one of the greatest players in the history of the game as well as joining Juventus in the summer of 2018.
His move to the Italian giants has not gone as most people would have expected though. He was believed to be the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle who would lead Juventus to the UEFA Champions League title. That has not happened. In fact, the club have appeared to take a step back in Europe and even finished fourth in Serie A last season.
Rumours have surrounded the future of Ronaldo throughout the summer. And as reported by L’Equipe (via Daily Mail), Ronaldo is currently pushing for a move to the Premier League, with the Portuguese legend attempting to engineer a switch to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side this month.

Ronaldo joining Manchester City would break Manchester United fans’ hearts
It is safe to say that at the start of the summer, not many people would have even expected Ronaldo to be linked with a move to Manchester City considering his history with the Red Devils.
But a lot of unexpected things have happened in this transfer window. Could the biggest surprise come towards the end?
Manchester City were heavily linked with a move for Harry Kane this summer despite already completing a move for Jack Grealish as well. But with the England national team captain set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur, could they decide to try and sign Ronaldo?
It remains to be seen how things transpire. But if the move was to happen, one has to wonder what kind of an effect it would have on Ronaldo’s Manchester United legacy.
