Manchester United have shown tremendous progress in recent years under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and following this summer transfer window, with them making signings like Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton, the Red Devils could finally be ready to make a Premier League title challenge once again.
Some of the club’s players have found playing time hard to come by recently though and are expected to continue to do so this season. As a result, a loan move away from Old Trafford could be a good solution for them in the 2021/22 campaign. It will hopefully give them regular first-team minutes to continue to develop their games.
One player who featured quite a lot in the club’s 2019/20 campaign but received limited first-team minutes last season is Brandon Williams. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he made 36 appearances and featured for 2439 minutes in the 2019/20 season but made just 14 appearances and featured for 658 minutes in the 2020/21 campaign.
As a result, it looks like he is closing in on a loan move for the season. As reported by Football Insider, Williams is undergoing a Norwich City medical today and has been given the green light to complete a loan move in the next 24 hours.

Williams set to leave Manchester United on loan
With Luke Shaw playing arguably the best football of his career at the moment and the presence of Alex Telles in the squad as well, it is hard to see Williams getting too many first-team minutes at Old Trafford this season.
As a result, a loan move could be great for the 20-year-old. He already has some decent experience of first-team football at Old Trafford and hopefully he can be a regular for Norwich City, who he looks set to join for the season.
At this stage of his career, first-team football is very important for Williams in order to develop and improve further. The versatile youngster can play in both full-back positions. And it will be interesting to see how he does at a club where he is a first-team regular.
